Rick Froberg  Singer and Guitarist  Passes Away at 55

Rick Froberg, the lead singer and guitarist of Drive Like Jehu and Hot Snakes, has passed away at the age of 55

Froberg's friend and longtime collaborator, John Reis, confirmed the news of his sudden death on Instagram

Known for his influential role in post-hardcore music, Froberg's artistry and rock 'n' roll passion made a significant impact on the music world

Froberg was not only a talented musician but also a visual artist, creating album art, promotional materials, and merchandise designs for his bands

He co-founded Drive Like Jehu with Reis, releasing their self-titled debut album in 1991, followed by the major-label release, Yank Crime, in 1994

Froberg and Reis later formed Hot Snakes, active from 1999 to 2005, with notable achievements such as being featured on the Grand Theft Auto V soundtrack

As an illustrator, Froberg also contributed artwork to Rocket from the Crypt and Reis' Swami Records label

Froberg's creativity, vision, and ability to bring beauty into the world through his art and music will be cherished and remembered by fans worldwide
