Noida International Airport: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a thorough inspection of the ongoing construction work at the Jewar International Airport in Greater Noida. He reviewed the progress and directed the authorities to ensure that the project is completed on time, without compromising on quality. Following this, CM Yogi also visited the India Expo Centre & Mart, the venue for the Semicon India event, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On-site Inspection at Jewar Airport:
CM Yogi Adityanath landed at the site of the Noida International Airport in Jewar on Tuesday. Senior police officers and administrative officials were present on the ground, alongside local legislators and MPs, to welcome the Chief Minister. Yogi Adityanath took stock of the various stages of construction at the airport and chaired a review meeting with district officials, the Noida Authority, and representatives from the company responsible for the airport’s development.
During the meeting, CM Yogi emphasised that the airport’s construction must be completed within the set timeline, maintaining top-notch quality standards. He further urged the officials to promptly address any challenges that may arise during the project and to escalate such issues to the state level if needed for swift resolution.
Tackling Land Acquisition Issues:
The Chief Minister addressed the ongoing land acquisition concerns, particularly in villages where disputes have delayed the process. He instructed senior district officials to work closely with local representatives to engage in meaningful dialogue with villagers and resolve the issues. CM Yogi also advised that the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) should be consulted during the land acquisition process, given their expertise in handling such matters efficiently.
Connecting Jewar Airport to Rail, Road, and Metro Networks:
In his directives, CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted the need to connect the Noida International Airport at Jewar to key transport networks, including rail, metro, and roads. He called for a comprehensive plan to integrate the airport into the regional transport infrastructure to facilitate smooth passenger access. Additionally, he suggested the construction of a multi-level parking facility at the airport to avoid inconvenience for travellers.
Semicon India Event Preparations Underway:
After leaving the airport, CM Yogi visited the India Expo Centre & Mart, where the prestigious Semicon India 2024 event will be held. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the event on Wednesday. The programme will run from 11th to 13th September, attracting entrepreneurs and political leaders from across the globe. The Chief Minister inspected the venue to ensure that everything is in place ahead of the Prime Minister’s arrival.
Uttar Pradesh – The Ideal Investment Destination:
As the host state, Uttar Pradesh is positioning itself as a premier investment destination. CM Yogi Adityanath will welcome Prime Minister Modi at the helipad set up at the Expo Mart, following which the PM will inaugurate the event and address the gathering. The Semicon India event presents a significant opportunity for Uttar Pradesh to showcase itself as a hub for technological investments.
