White House preparing for exit of national security advisor HR McMaster

White House preparing for exit of national security advisor HR McMaster”

"Remember the Dirty Dossier, Uranium, Speeches, Emails and the [former White House Chief of Staff John] Podesta Company!" "But I hope he stays, he's really good".

Other names mentioned in the CNN report as replacement's for McMaster are Stephen Biegun - a senior executive at U.S. automaker Ford who previously worked in the George W. Bush White House and as national security adviser to former Senate majority leader Bill Frist, as well as John Bolton - a USA ambassador to the United Nations under Bush and conservative commentator.

Two sources with knowledge of the matter said McMaster has talked to senior leadership at the Hoover Institution about a position there once he finishes at the White House.

Spokesman for the National Security Council Michael Anton said in an announcement he had assisted a meeting between Trump and H.R McMaster in the Oval Office and the president had said the NBC story was "fake news".

Last week, CNN reported that McMaster could leave the White House after months of tensions with Trump.

Although Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said the indictment didn't allege willing collusion, it did allege defendants "communicated with unwitting individuals associated with the Trump campaign".

The Thursday report suggested that McMaster will soon be replaced by Ford executive Stephen Biegun, who served in the George W. Bush administration. Mattis, according to one source, will give McMaster a job in the military after he leaves next month.

But the task of easing McMaster out of his role as national security adviser presents a unique challenge for the White House. Flynn resigned after only 24 days in office after revelations that he lied to Vice President Pence about his dealings with Russian officials. Trump forced out Michael Flynn after revelations that he misled administration officials about his contacts with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. He later pleaded guilty to lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation about those interactions.
