Apple once again tipped to launch 'giant' 6.5-inch iPhone in 2018

Apple once again tipped to launch 'giant' 6.5-inch iPhone in 2018”

Apple is expected to discontinue the iPhone X later this year when the company introduces their 2018 iPhone line rather than following the tradition of continuing to sell older devices for a reduced price.

But, the increase in price, also resulted in Apple raking in 13 percent more revenue in the quarter than the same period previous year.

The iPhone X will be the primary device from 2018 but rumors claim a total of three different devices are heading to stores.

The E-SIM is already available in the iPad and Apple Watch and Apple wanted to include it as well in iPhone devices.

If you've been waiting for a dual-SIM card-capable iPhone, Apple might finally provide it with the 6.5-inch model.

The people said both these phones are expected to use next-generation A12 processors and will continue to include stainless steel edges and will be Apple's high-end smartphone offerings.

The larger model will boast a 1242 x 2688 resolution display, the report claims, promising similar sharpness to the 5.8-inch iPhone X.

Apple's Short Interest Rises 7 Million Shares, but Does It Matter?

Analyst Daniel Ives told The Sun that Apple may also be looking to target more customers in Asia, and particularly in China, where larger phones are just as popular as their regular-sized counterparts.

According to the report, the smartphones will also come with an upgraded version of the existing iPhone X but it would be less expensive. The company is reportedly working on a gold colour for the new handset.

It is considering releasing a dual-SIM variant as well. A final decision on whether to include the feature or wait for eSIM technology hasn't been made.

Apple will use an LCD screen on the budget-friendly phone for cost-cutting, but it will house aluminium edges and glass back to deliver a premium look.

The larger iPhone is said to have a display close to 6.5-inches in size.

Apple is about to expand its lineup by launching a whole new collection of smartphones to choose from.

The cheaper version of the iPhone X will also feature an edge-to-edge screen and a Face ID scanner. This design will allegedly work because of the edge-to-edge design being used.
