Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visit Edinburgh

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visit Edinburgh”

Hundreds of well-wishers greeted the couple today in a cold and windy Edinburgh.

And on Tuesday, Meghan Markle didn't let waiting fashion fans down, when she showed up at Edinburgh Castle wearing a tartan coat and cross body bag, showing she's willing to break boundaries when it comes to her outfits.

Whoever performs, it is indeed likely that Harry and Meghan will get a big name to be at their wedding: In 2011, Prince William and Kate Middleton had Ellie Goulding sing a cover of "Your Song" for their first dance.

Meghan and Prince Harry spent about 25 minutes greeting members of the public outside Edinburgh Castle before they paid a visit to the Social Bite centre, a Scottish charity for the homeless. The couple also met one of the stars of the Scottish military - regimental mascot Cruachan IV, a Shetland pony.

The 36-year-old travelled to Edinburgh for her first ever visit to Scotland.

"Prince Harry has personally requested Ed perform at his wedding", US Weekly quote a source as saying. While the official statement simply cited "a scheduling conflict" as the reason behind the altered performance schedule, there's speculation that he will be busy that weekend celebrating the union of Prince Harry and Markle. Everyone was really excited for Harry and Meghan's arrival.

Meanwhile, Samantha Neely praised Markle's navy tartan Burberry coat and purse.

Meghan opted for pants for this visit, wearing a pair of Veronica Beard slacks to keep her warm.

Kim Cameron, 55, from Danderhall, Midlothian, added: "I just want to see them because I love the Royal Family".

'They were asking how long we'd been homeless for and how much Social Bite has helped change us and move us on'.

In the kitchen, Meghan said she volunteered in a soup kitchen as a teenager.

"Hey!" the prince said at one point, narrowly avoiding a bite.

Finally, they attended a reception at Palace of Holyroodhouse, where they celebrated Scotland's Year of Young People 2018. British Prime Minister Theresa May announced this news on the day the couple announced their engagement.
