WhatsApp for Business, app launched for SMEs, available on Android

WhatsApp for Business, app launched for SMEs, available on Android”

Business profiles on WhatsApp Business will offer a description, including email, store address and website.

WhatsApp has always been used as an unofficial communication platform for business users, an attractive proposition due to its ease of set up and end-to-end encryption, despite some missing enterprise features.

The app will soon be made available around the world. For example, businesses can know how numerous intended recipients read the bulk messages they sent.

Account Type: People will know that they're talking to a business because you will be listed as a Business Account. There will also be access to message statistics so businesses can review what is working for them.

"We're launching WhatsApp Business - a free-to-download Android app for small businesses". For now, businesses established in Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the USA can download the app from the Google Play Store for free. In the main WhatsApp app, businesses will be clearly distinguished from regular users and will eventually receive confirmation badges. WhatsApp also claimed that 84 percent of SMBs think that WhatsApp helps them communicate with customers, andA80 percent of SMBs think that WhatsApp helps them grow their business. These include "quick replies", providing immediate responses to commonly asked questions, and automatic greeting and away messages.

Business accounts will also be marked as such, so users are aware they're engaging with a company, and a Confirmed Account status will be rolled out "over time" to some businesses, although there's no indication of time scales involved.

Using WhatsApp Business, you can create a dedicated business profile with your company's name. Owned by Facebook, the platform-agnostic messaging platform will perhaps charge larger firms to use the new business application. This means that if you already use the traditional WhatsApp service, you will need another number or cancel the account on the standard WhatsApp. The application isn't that different from the original in terms of UI, but adds a number of business-related features to make interacting with consumers a lot easier than before.

WhatsApp confirmed that the new app version will remain free for the long term.

WhatsApp plans to expand the Business app's availability worldwide in the coming weeks, it explained in a blog post.
