Quiksilver CEO Pierre Agnès is lost at sea”

The chief executive of Boardriders, which this month agreed to add Billabong to its portfolio of surf and sportswear brands, has gone missing at sea, but his boat has been recovered from a beach on the French coast.

French authorities deployed four vessels and four helicopters on Tuesday to search for him after the boat was discovered run aground and empty on a beach along the French coast north of Biarritz.

A search is on for Quiksilver CEO Pierre Agnes.

Pierre Agnès has been working for Quiksilver since 1998.

Pierre Agnes, 54, had ventured out at around 7.30am (2.30pm Singapore) on a routine fishing trip before contacting the local harbour master to say he was delaying his return because of fog, a source close to the rescue team told AFP. He lives in Capbreton, his hometown, with his wife and three children.
