Falcon Heavy to take first flight Feb

Falcon Heavy to take first flight Feb”

SpaceX took this to Twitter and posted a video saying, "First static fire test of Falcon Heavy complete-one step closer to first test flight!"

The launch date isn't set in stone yet, and given that the Falcon Heavy launch has already been pushed back numerous times, this could just be a target for now.

The company CEO tweeted yesterday: "Falcon Heavy hold-down firing this morning was good". "Launching in a week or so".

The Falcon Heavy is expected to become the most powerful rocket in the world if the launch is successful.

The Falcon Heavy is the largest rocket SpaceX has ever built. It also has three times more engines.

Last month, Musk announced the plan on Twitter to some skepticism, but it was confirmed a few weeks later with pictures of the Roadster installed on a SpaceX payload attach fitting - pictured above.

According to the Verge, the Falcon Heavy will carry Elon Musk's personal Tesla roadster as its virgin payload, carrying the electric auto into an orbit around the sun that is the same distance away as Mars' orbit.

The Falcon 9 is now used to hoist satellites and supplies to the International Space Station.

But hype surrounding the upcoming demonstration flight has been partially energized by a special payload encapsulated in the rocket's protective nose cone, or fairing - Musk's personal 2008 Tesla Roadster, an all-electric sports vehicle, will be hurtled into deep space.

He specified that it is the "no earlier than" date and that it could still change, but as of right now, it is the planned launch date.

The actual launch of the Falcon Heavy is sure to be stunning.

It is created to carry large payloads to orbit and could eventually take people to the Moon or Mars.

"I love the thought of a auto drifting apparently endlessly through space and perhaps being discovered by an alien race millions of years in the future", Musk wrote. After blasting off from NASA's historic Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center, all three will attempt vertical landings, two on land and one on a floating offshore platform.
