Coroner waiting for tests on death of Dolores O'Riordan

Coroner waiting for tests on death of Dolores O'Riordan”

Andy Rourke, fellow bandmate and former member of the Smiths, also wrote parting words for the late singer, claiming he is "heartbroken and devastated" and "will miss her terribly".

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said earlier this week that the police were called to a hotel in Park Lane at 09:05 GMT on Monday, where "a woman in her mid-40s" was pronounced dead at the scene.

The BBC reports that Tuesday's service is "strictly reserved for extended family and close friends", and that O'Riordan's close family friend Canon Liam McNamara will act as chief celebrant of the Requiem Mass.

He also talked about the band's decision to go forward with the song's release: 'It's such a powerful song and the themes are still so relevant, we wanted to release it in her memory'. "In your head, in your head, they're still fighting". We changed that lyric to say "2018" and she was really excited about that because the nations may have changed but we're still fighting the same battles today.

'Humanity is still fighting to assert itself despite all the conflicts'.

The mother-of-three has been commemorated countless times on social media in the wake of her passing, with fellow musicians and ardent music fans paying tribute to her artistic contribution.

O'Riordan, a mother-of-three born in Co Limerick, Ireland, had been in London to record a cover version of The Cranberries song, Zombie, with the band Bad Wolves.

"We have always had deep respect for her as an artist and a vocalist and she was never afraid to bare her soul in her music and lyrics". It is not known whether her burial will be affected by this new development. My heart is broken and it is beyond fix.

One of the first to sign the book was the principal of the singer's old school, Laurel Hill Colaiste in Limerick.
