Showers are around for the early part of the day then again during the afternoon when a cold front is tracking through the area. Rain chance at 80%. By December 26th, or the day after Christmas next Tuesday, the front will no doubt be through the area and much colder air will begin to settle in for a while.

Wednesday night into Thursday brings some uncertainty with when rain may develop and how quickly the cold front pushes through on Thursday which would lead to falling temperatures during the day as well as a possibly transition from rain to a wintry mix.

The computer models have come into better agreement concerning the potential for wintry precipitation in the days leading up to Christmas.
