The inevitable LaVar Ball vs. Donald Trump war of words is here

The inevitable LaVar Ball vs. Donald Trump war of words is here”

Their arrest coincided with Trump's visit to China, and the players were detained at their hotel.

"I would like to thank President Trump and the United States government for the help they provided as well", said Ball.

Ball's son LiAngelo and two of his teammates, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley, were arrested November 8 after stealing designer sunglasses in Shanghai, according to the New York Times.

Donald Trump accused LaVar Ball of being "unaccepting" of his help.

"As long as my boy's back here, I'm fine", LaVar Ball told ESPN.

"What was he over there for?"

It's not totally clear what the exact circumstances of the players' release were, and when asked about the president's role, Ball told ESPN Friday: "Who?"

Donald Trump just wants LaVar Ball's appreciation. Don't tell me nothing.

The players apologized and thanked the president for his involvement during a press conference last week.

Trump, who is the president of the United States, became involved, as leaders of countries often do when their citizens are involved in crimes in other countries. "Be careful, there are many pitfalls on the long and winding road of life!" he wrote on Twitter. "I'm happy with how things were handled".

Lest you think the administration had better things to do, Dan Scavino, White House Director of Social Media, also tweeted, a similar message.

"Now if you can go back and say when he was 12 years old he was shoplifting and stealing cars and going wild, then that's a different thing".

"I'm from LA. I've seen a lot worse things happen than a guy taking some glasses". "I've learned my lesson from this big mistake, and I'm a hundred percent sure I'll never make a mistake like this again".

All three UCLA players have been indefinitely suspended from the team, coach Steve Alford said.
