Texans Owner Bob McNair Issues ANOTHER Apology For "Inmates" Comment (TWEET)

Texans Owner Bob McNair Issues ANOTHER Apology For

"Some of these owners are showing their true colors", Sherman said following Seattle's practice Friday about a quote attributed to McNair in an ESPN story in which the Texans owner said of players, "We can't have the inmates running the prison".

Robert McNair, the owner of the Houston Texans, apologized after making a comment recently that appeared to compare National Football League players to "inmates". "I wanted to answer their questions", McNair told the Chronicle.

"As far as the protests are concerned, I think, people are going to feel how they feel about it", Brown said.

President Trump began attacking the NFL players last month, calling Colin Kaepernick a "son of a bitch", and moved his focus to the NFL owners and the NFL itself after players not only continued their protests, but ramped them up as more players and even owners joined in. McNair apologized to Vincent, and after his comments were revealed, released a statement. A third, tackle Duane Brown, publicly rebuked the team owner.

"As I said yesterday, I was not referring to our players when I made a very regretful comment during the owners meetings last week".

Looking ahead, the NFL will resume its meetings in NY between Commissioner Roger Goodell, team owners, league officials, player representatives and select players from around the league.

Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins missed Friday's practice despite not appearing on the injury report or having any visible limitations recently. And after meeting with the team on Saturday - where he apologized again - McNair claimed his "inmates" remark wasn't referring to NFL players but was actually referring to the league office.

The Texans are 3-3 this season, and host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. The Texans' practice started half an hour late today, according to ESPN's Sarah Barshop.

Uh, well, let's just say I strongly disagree with the tone in which Gottlieb judges someone as unintelligent.

McNair has remained a supporter of SC academics and athletics.

"Mr. McNair, you need to do more than apologize", said Congressman Al Green.

McNair earned a psychology degree from USC in 1958. "We hope all fellow Gamecocks will join us in taking part in this extraordinary project".
