Google's top priority today? Fixing the cheeseburger emojiā€

However, Pichai said that as the matter will resolve, Google will re-arrange its cheeseburger emoji.

The tweet was retweeted almost 17,000 times and sparked a sort of existential crisis on the internet as people struggled to agree on what the ideal burger would look like.

Mr Baekdal's tweet has drawn the attention of burger critics across the internet. That's why this latest controversy surrounding Google's cheeseburger emoji, of all things, has been rather baffling.

Even if Pichai was serious in his Tweet, it's going to be hard to come to an agreement as to how the cheeseburger emoji should be arranged. Some defended putting the lettuce under the patty, while others retaliated that, actually, the tomato should go on the bottom. "Bottom, tomato, cheese, meat, lettuce, top bun".

"The burger emoji battle is fun, but let's take a moment to point out that Microsoft is the only one that gets it completely right", one user wrote.

According to a report from The Verge, Google seems to be the only one who has got the design wrong. It's generally accepted that cheeseburger cheese should be placed directly on the meat patty for optimal melting.

So, assuming Google must've known something when they created their emoji, we want to know: what's the correct way to assemble a burger?

Twitter user Thomas Baekdal wrote "I think we need to have a discussion about how Google's burger emoji is placing the cheese underneath the burger, while Apple puts it on top".

Thankfully, at the very highest levels, Google has resolved to fix this outrageous injustice at the earliest convenience.
