Xiaomi Launched Mi NoteBook Pro In China

Xiaomi Launched Mi NoteBook Pro In Chinaā€¯

With the current-gen MacBook Pro getting rid of the SD card reader, Xiaomi was eager to point out that the Mi Notebook Pro does include an SD card slot, along with two full-size USB 3.0 ports in addition to two USB-C ports and an HDMI out.

The graphics on the laptop is managed by Nvidia GeForce MX150. Compared with Apple MacBook Pro, Mi Notebook Pro features 19% larger keyboard area for increased comfort and ergonomics. You can also select between 8GB or 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM, and the notebook comes with a 256GB SSD.

As for the pricing, the Notebook Pro is obviously going to be more expensive than its predecessor, with the cheapest option starting from 5599 RMB ($858).

The Mi Notebook Pro is constructed out of magnesium alloy, and features a 15.6-inch 1080p display with narrow bezels and a Gorilla Glass 3 coating. Apart from this, for security purposes, Xiaomi is bringing its Fingerprint Sensor on the Notebook Pro which is placed into the Trackpad section.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro

Xiaomi Mi Notebook is by far the company's most premium laptop. Naturally, Xiaomi has taken a major part of the design inspiration from the High Sierra powered laptop. So, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro could easily end up being MacBook's competitor in China only. The laptop offers the users with a bright and vivid array of colors as well. In fact, a durability test during the launch showcased the Mi Notebook Pro being driven over by a scooter and working even after that. This notebook has a feature of the Harman Infinity speakers.

The battery promises 60Wh of power, along with support for 1C quick charge. The laptop offers three variants, two featuring the i7 and one featuring the i5.

The Core i5 processor and 8GB RAM variant is priced at 5699 Chinese Yuan ($874 or RS. 55,883 approx).

As noted earlier, there is no guarantee that Xiaomi will launch the Mi Notebook in India, although if it does chances are that it may find a number of takers. The top end variant runs on the more powerful Core i7-8550U processor clocked at 4 GHz. These aren't exactly mind-blowing prices, but not that it matters, as the machine will only be available in China when it goes on sale on September 15th.
