Huawei Mate 10 renders show the return of the home button

Huawei Mate 10 renders show the return of the home button”

It seems unlikely that Apple's losing streak will continue, however, as Huawei's lead is slim and comes during the traditional summer lull in Apple's sales as customers await the launch of the newest iPhone, which is slated for September 12.

Apart from that, the company launched its flagship processor the Kirin 970, which is the first mobile computing unit to feature a built-in AI computing neural processing unit (NPU).

As per these leaked render images, the Huawei Mate 10 comes out with quite an impressive form factor.

"While Huawei climbed to be the world's second largest brand overall, it is surprising to see none of its models breaking into the top rankings", said Counterpoint Research senior analyst, Pavel Naiya in a statement.

According to some rumors in the industry, Huawei Mate 10 will be having regular version and pro-version.

While it's not obvious from the renders, we think that the Mate 10 will feature the trendy new 18:9 aspect ratio, with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels and a diagonal size of around 5.9 inches. That might disappoint some fans, but it does look like the regular Mate 10 will have thinner bezels than the Mate 9. It's a sleek, solid-looking tablet with thin bezels and a rounded-edge design but also evident is a front home button. The back itself, though, may trade brush aluminium for glass. If you have been following the news lately, then you probably already know a thing or two about it. It's still unknown whether that will also have the fingerprint sensor, but, considering there is no other indication on the Mate 10's very shiny back, that could very well be the case. The smartphone will most likely include 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage.

The Huawei is aiming to use Kirin chips to differentiate its smartphone flagships from a broad set of competitors, including Samsung, who are overwhelming depends on the rival Snapdragon chips from Qualcomm.

Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei's consumer business group, said: "As we look to the future of smartphones, we're at the threshold of an exciting new era".
