The probability of rain is about 23 percent Monday in the Wyandotte County area. The partial eclipse in Columbia is scheduled to begin around 1:13 p.m., with totality taking place around 2:41 p.m.

The high is expected to top out at around 85, while the low should dip to 70 overnight. An isolated shower or storm remains possible, but most look dry.

Heat indices for Monday are expected to reach between 100 and 105 degrees. A line of storms will accompany a cold front in the Midwest and Ohio Valley but may not make it to the D.C. area before the day is through.

A trough of low pressure located a couple of hundred miles NNE of the southeastern Bahamas is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms that extend southeastward toward Puerto Rico.
