Cowboys LB Damien Wilson Arrested For Assault With Deadly Weapon”

The Toyota Stadium hosted a F.C. Dallas match and a fireworks show for a sold-out crowd Tuesday night.

Frisco police said they charged Wilson with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon at 8 the stadium's parking lot during Frisco's Freedom Fest. Police released Wilson after he posted a $20,000 bond, although the circumstances of his arrest are still unclear.

Team spokesman Scott Agulnek said the Cowboys were gathering information and didn't have immediate comment.

Wilson is the second Dallas defender to be arrested this offseason.

Wilson is entering his third season with the Cowboys.

"We are looking into the matter to understand the facts", said an National Football League spokesman.

If there's one thing the Dallas Cowboys are known for, it's players getting suspended and/or arrested.

Wilson was an occasional starter on last year's team, and he was expected to start at times this year, as well. The 24-year-old played college football at the University of Minnesota.

Wilson, a 2015 fourth-round pick, logged 49 tackles and 0.5 sacks over 32 appearances in two seasons.
