Men Found Shot Dead at East Texas Car Dealership

Men Found Shot Dead at East Texas Car Dealership”

At about 7:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of multiple gunshots at Nissan of Greenville at 6403 Interstate 30, about 45 miles northeast of Dallas.

Two bounty hunters and a fugitive suspect were killed during a shootout at Nissan of Greenville Tuesday as customers and workers at the auto dealership dove for cover.

Peters says Hutchinson had been sought since March for failure to appear in court in Hennepin County. The group U.S. Fugitive Apprehension claimed Hutchinson was wanted on felony counts of disarming a police officer, fourth-degree assault of an officer and first-degree narcotics possession. The men fought as Hutchinson retrieved his weapon and began firing.

About 20 shots were fired in a time span of an estimated six seconds.

"We referred the case to them once we found probable cause that Mr. Hutchinson could be in Texas", Peters said.

No one else was wounded in the shooting, authorities say.

The owner of the dealership, Rick Ford, told The Associated Press by email Wednesday that the two men called the dealership earlier and identified themselves as federal agents. Officials say that's when Garcia and Bernal returned fire.

While no names of the deceased have been confirmed, the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators (TALI) named one of the men as Fidel Garcia, Jr. She didn't see the men who were shooting, Cano said.

Police in Greenville say three people were killed at a Nissan vehicle dealership.
