How lawmakers get their health care”

"No one will lose their federal Medicaid eligibility and no one now covered by Obamacare will have the rug pulled out from under them.

Ongoing attempts by the congressional GOP and Trump administration to rewrite the nation's health-care policy have been the focus of a partisan tug-of-war ever since Donald Trump's upset victory last November. And premiums have been rising across the country. The authors evaluated telephone survey data of low-income adults from 2013 through 2016 in three states: Kentucky, which expanded Medicaid; Arkansas, which expanded private insurance to low-income adults through the federal Marketplace; and Texas, which did not expand coverage to this group. "Furthermore, the health care legislation passed by the House is a starting point and the Senate will be drafting its own plan", said a spokesmen for Senator Toomey.

A per person spending cap for Medicaid would reduce federal funding for Florida children who receive Medicaid by $2.3 billion from 2020 to 2026, according to an analysis by Avalere Health, a consulting firm. When more news about the failures of Obamacare comes to the forefront, it serves as a reminder that the time to give Americans relief from this disastrous law is now. And, historically high risk pools were ineffective in reducing costs and providing appropriate coverage. Mike Lee, are considering significant cuts to Medicaid that would cause millions of people to lose coverage, the Wall Street Journal reported Sunday.

But the president wasn't talking about health care per se.

There are already divisions between conservatives and GOP moderates over what their party's bill should look like, with the two factions clashing over issues including Medicaid cuts.

Obamacare was premised on the young and healthy buying health insurance in order to subsidize the market so that the sick could be guaranteed coverage. Under the replacement, AHCA, many of their insurance premiums will once again be unaffordable. But at least two of the women in the Senate, Susan Collins of ME and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, aren't keen on messing up health care and, according to The New York Times, are less likely to go along with the new plan simply to show party unity.

Hundreds of New Jerseyans jammed a MacArthur town hall last week and criticized him for his actions in helping to pass the bill. "The bottom line is that this legislation protects those with preexisting conditions and New York State regulations further protect them", she said.

She believes many states will want to keep essential benefits and pre-existing condition coverage, and opt against getting a waiver.

Democrats who are highly supportive of Obama's law and signed up for the health care generally say they it has worked for them.
