Lawsuit: Trump's NC campaign director pointed gun at aide”

The suit alleged that Phillip had brandished his gun at Bordini during a auto ride in February and that the Trump campaign did not take any action against Phillip, even though Bordini said he had reported the incident to multiple parties.

The lawsuit names both the North Carolina State Director, Earl Phillip, and Donald J. Trump For President, defendants.

Vincent then reported the incident to others in the campaign, the lawsuit says.

The lawsuit said the gun incident occurred during a trip to SC ahead of that state's primary. According to Mic, Bordini said that just before the SC state primary, the then-director "produced a pistol, put his right index finger on the trigger, and drove the barrel into [his] knee cap" on February 13.

He claims in the suit that he was alone in a vehicle with the-then State Campaign Director Early Philip when, for no apparent reason, Phillip pulled a gun.

Bordini, described in the suit as "a passionate Donald J. Trump supporter", claims to have described the February incident to then-Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

According to the complaint, Bordini and Phillip were driving in Phillip's Jeep when Phillip "produced a pistol, put his right index finger on the trigger, and drove the barrel into Vincent's knee cap". The lawsuit says that Phillip had previously told Bordini that he always keeps his guns loaded. "Phillip put the gun away as if nothing had happened".

Phillip became the campaign's North Carolina state director in November.

This is not the first lawsuit related to the Trump campaign. "They described Phillip as yelling or screaming in anger while brandishing a pistol". Phillips did not immediately respond to voicemail messages left at two numbers listed for his consulting company. According to Bordini, the director told him he once had a similar altercation with Phillip, adding he was "terrified" of the state director.
