Woman added this week to FBI's 'most wanted' list arrested

At 2:08 A.M. deputies determined that the female occupying Room 122 of the motel was, in fact, Shanika Minor, who is a fugitive from Wisconsin where Minor wanted for the murder of a pregnant female in Milwaukee. The victim retreated into her residence, where she died in front of her two children. According to a criminal complaint, Minor shot Tamecca Perry in March after a fight about loud music.

That's when the suspect fired a shot into the air, got into a vehicle and left. Minor allegedly reached over her mother's shoulder and fired, striking Perry in the chest. On March 5, investigators say Minor confronted Perry near her home, but Minor's mother de-escalated the situation. Her unborn child, whom relatives told local media was a girl, died before paramedics arrived. Minor's mother ran to the scene and implored her daughter not to hurt the pregnant woman.

Minor, who is from Wisconsin, was wanted on charges of first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree intentional homicide of a unborn child and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. Piontek called the murder "a senseless crime".

Shanika Minor, 24, was taken into custody in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the FBI's Milwaukee bureau tweeted. Minor was found and arrested in Fayetteville less than three days after the agency's announcement. The FBI says Shanika S. Minor may have contact with people in Missouri, Mississippi, Texas, Tennessee, Ohio, and possibly Georgia.

Minor is an American citizen who was born on November 29, 1991, in Mississippi. Minor has a tattoo on her lower abdomen, which is a display of roses. Some petals are shaded in red, while others are outlined in black.
