Rajon Rondo met with the Bulls, still interested in Kings

Rondo has reached an agreement with the Bulls on a two-year, $28 million free-agency deal, as first reported by ESPN's The Undefeated on Sunday.

Rajon Rondo is also entertaining visits from the Brooklyn Nets.

The petulant point guard led the National Basketball Association in assists with 11.7 per game, but at 30, the Kings were willing to let him test the free agent market.

Rondo has only spent one year in the King's organization, and only one year in the Dallas Maverick's association before that.

The Bulls recently traded away starting point guard Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks, lost center Joakim Noah in free agency, and dealt away backup point guard Kirk Hinrich to the Hawks in February.

-Fred Hoiberg's system is supposed to be about free flowing ball movement for open shooters, so general manager Gar Forman provided him...one of the biggest ball-stoppers around, not to mention a controversial locker room presence for a coach who had growing pains in his first season at the helm.

On Friday afternoon, the Bulls had a meeting with former NBA All-Star and champion Rajon Rondo.

Next to Butler, he was the Bulls' most rugged and versatile perimeter defender while steadily hitting jumpers to the tune of 45 percent from 3-point range.

"His athleticism manifests itself in his perennial landing among the league's steals leaders", Johnson wrote of Rondo. His addition gets them to the salary cap floor.
